A key part of both navigation and search is creating a solid, flexible, and organic taxonomy. A taxonomy acts as a backbone for both the search and browse components of the OMRAS project. It should be noted that a taxonomy, especially a music taxonomy, is never set in stone. It will always be in a state of growth.

Issues to think about: how to build a taxonomy, what the naming convention should be, and who the audiences/users are. In order to start thinking about these issues I have been looking at other music websites. They will be of use in order to do an analysis and organize thoughts around what is a good taxonomy and what just does not work.
